yes they bolt right in. If you are getting them from a donor car i would pick up the plastic trim pieces that cover the front seat mounting bolts or modify your existing ones.

They do bolt right in, here is my interior:

I am just selling the seats. It may look like the car is being parted out, but that pic was taken when I was doing the TPI conversion and trying out some 4th gen door panels.Originally posted by demonchild

And I have to say, it's a damn good upgrade for the money. A buddy of mine picked up some 4th gen seats for $80 from a high performance junkyard around here. They are MUCH more comfortable, and the lateral support is excellent. I dont really think you would need any better seats unless doing AC or you can pull more than a lateral G, then I would just spend the money on a molded seat.

I just put mine in a few weeks ago...take a look

They bolt right in...only thing I did was remove the pivot between the rear seats (my old rears were split backs, with a horizontal post between the rear bottoms mounted on the hump...the new ones are one piece rears). I just cut it out with a high speed grinder...I can always re-weld it back in if I ever went back to splits. If you get power seats, try and get a few feet of the wiring harness too..I didn't, though it was easy enough to cut a connector out of another car and make my own.

There is alot of information about this topic on these boards. It almost comes up once a week. Glad we could help you out. I got mine over a year ago and they match my red/charcoal car perfectly!

i just got a seat of 95 T/A seats with lumbar(both driver and passenger are lumber and powered). i didn't check to see if the pump comes with it. i my 88 vette the pump was in the frame of the seat. isn't that not the case with these seats?
could anyone tell me how to wire them up. I don't think that I'm getting any extra wire harness.

The pump is attached to the bottom of the drivers seat. There is a harness with 2 wires and a vacuum line that goes from the drivers seat to the pass seat.
Wire the seats to a 12v source on the car, my car had power originally so I just changed the plugs.

My car wasn't originally pwr seats...and like a dope, I didn't get the wiring harness with the seats. I cut a 2 wire connector from a wrecked 'vette, cut the plug off the wire on the seat, and soldered the connector to those wires. Then I soldered 2 more onto the other end of the connector, and crimped on a ring connector to the ground wire and a spade clip to the hot lead. I grounded the seat to the mounting bolt, and found an empty breaker in the fuse box to push the spade clip into.
MikeC...thats a good price for leather seats. Less than I paid for cloth...although, with a 'vert, I wanted the cloth, to keep my butt from frying. Good luck with the auction.

what about the seatbelts are they interchangeable or do you just use the old ones

Use the old ones. The fronts I got have a guide mounted on them up by the shoulder that the old ones didn't, so I cut a slot into that to route the belts through. You can see it in my pics.

I put 4th gen convertible seatbelt retainers on my 4th gen seats, they have a slit on the top for the belt to go in. I didn't want to try and hack the solid ones and they were only $3.50 each new from the dealer.

Ahhh...the joys of ownership. I took my Blazer in to get a price once on replacing the carpet...the truck's seen plenty of beach and sand, though there's no rust on it...and I could tell that the guy didn't even want to job, no matter what the price, telling me "Oh I'll probably have to heat those seat belt bolts up with a torch to break the rust"...Originally posted by BeNnYBooPy

But if I was doing it myself, I'd give myself plenty of 2 things. Time..and WD40. Soak the nuts good..several times..and let it sit in between soakings. Then use the longest wratchet you can find, maybe even slip a piece of pipe over the handle to make it longer, so you get plenty of leverage. And go eeeeeeasy when you crack them...you sure don't want to break those bolts off. Actually, the seats wouldn't be too bad. The bolts are welded down, its the nut you gotta crack off. But the seat belts...those would be tougher. Of course, if you're not changing carpet, they don't have to come out.

Will any wiring harness from a 3rd or 4th gen work in my situation? I am going from a car that doesnt have power seats to 4th gen front power seats. I can get wiring harnesses but I am not sure they work in all situations. The seats I am getting have all the mods and I want to make sure they all will work. Thanks in advance

The stock connector on the 3rd gen seats and cars are different.
Get the harness from a 4th gen car and wire it up to power in the fuse panel then just plug it into your 4th gen seats.

Thanks for that. Are all 4th gen harnesses acceptable?

Not sure. 96 Camaro and 96 Trans Am power harnesses are the same. If in doubt, you can buy Two 2 position connectors from Pep Boys or Radio Shack and wire it up yourself. I'd go that route or just hardire the seats to the car. I did that when I first got my 96 Camaro seats since the 2 connectors were different.Originally posted by yankeecarman

When I traded my seats with my brother, I took his harness and hard wired the Camaro seats into his Trans Am.
