I agree. At this posting, the bidding is at $27. I only paid $50 for a complete overhead in near mint condition.

Sold the one out of my husbands totalled iroc for 49.00 off of ebay. Hell they are hard to come by, if you buy a used car they are normally NOT there. & if they are they are broken.

& Many ppl have lost thiers through the years.

I still wouldn't pay $50 for a flashlight that looks similar to one you can get at the dollar store.

they only made the roof console for 3 years that in itself is a pretty rare item.

the other day i missplaced my camaro flashlight and literally threw the biggest fit ever LOL, till i found it in my jacket pocket.

As mentioned, the flash light, an engineering nightmare, seems far more rare (lost, broken, misplaced) than the consoles themselves. I have four or five bodies in the garage, but not one has the flash light. I've always believed that the leather pouch and flash light area would be a wonderful place to put various switches/guages, but....

When I bought my '87 IROC used back in late '88, the flashlight was missing. At the time I didn't know what that hole in the console was for.

After learning that a flashlight went in the hole, I went to the Chevy dealer and bought one for IIRC, $8. They had a bunch of them on the shelf.....should have bought them all

well For Most dealerships around here dont carry them anymore
So finding them at a dealer is rare.

Yeah, rare nowadays. Keep in mind that I bought mine at a dealership over 10 years ago.

I wonder how often a dealership dumps inventory that isn't moving? Especially low dollar cost items like console flashlights. Perhaps in the future someone will sell NOS flashlights "purchased from a going-out-of-business dealership"....at a premium of course.

I founf 2 camaro ones in the yards. Of course that was after getting 5 overhead consoles. I traded even for a firebird one. They usually sell for 25-30 bucks from the used part guys...Tell you I will definately snag them at teh yard when I see them...

I use one of the number dials to put how many gallons of gas I put in my car, then the tripometer to see how many miles I get, and the other number dial for miles per gallon.

unless my brother decides to mess with them, then they say 420 lol

Thats what I got my over head consoles out of that still had the flashlights. I guess berlinetta owners are more careful about the flashlights...
