Update, Thanx To Those Who Helped

Took the goddamned motor out of the hatch, and simply drilled and bolted the lock mecanism about 1/8" up from it's complete 'down' position...I have to push the hatch closed now, but it unlocks fine, and the hatch release still pops the hatch all the way up! I'm sooo glad I got rid of that hatch motor...
