I'm working on plans for redoing almost my entire interior. I'm planning on putting black and red 4th gen seats in, 4th gen console, painting my carpet red (with duplicolor vinyl and fabric spray), either painting my headliner red or changing it with red cloth, painting my interior panels black (with krylon fusion) and installing a clear dome light cover. Should I paint the current headliner or put different fabric in? I'll most likely paint the sun visors black. Comments and suggestions welcome.

I think I'm going to get new cloth to redo the headliner and speaker cover panels with. I'm also going to get a new carpet. I'm trying for blood red for all of those. Should I make my sun visors blood red as well, or make them black (for contrast)?

When I did my headliner, i was thinking about doing the sun visors, but the way they were sewn together would have made it look like *** if i did it myself. They look pretty cool offset from the headliner though, ive got black headliner with gray visors.

How easy are 4th gen sun visors to install?

No idea. I would imagine they follow the same concept though. Someone please correct me if im wrong.

I guess I'll find out when I take a trip to the junkyard. I need to find some way to make my dash look better, I have plans for everything but the dash so far...any ideas?

I am doing almost the reverse (red trim with black carpet). Although I am buying the floor carpet new, I am using Duplicolor to dye the carpet on the side panels. One problem I am seeing is that the dye is not making it all the way to the back, which has black exterior colors with a reddish tinge. Almost like the phony blondes with black roots. 84Camaro, did you notice the same thing, and if so, how did you compensate?

I have a suggestion.... make sure your weatherstripping is 100% leak-free. I'm talking the entire car. You don't want to end up like this guy:

Um....er....leaky weatherstripping is why I now am forced to redo the interior. Damn Seattle rain......

I had planned to do this in the summer, but the steady drip drip drip on the rear passenger seat and the front door panel made for one soggy mess.
