Question about 91-92 Firebird door panels

My car came with two small neatly cut holes (one larger than the other) in each door panel. I originally figured the previous owner had swapped door panels from a car with manual windows, but I am not sure. Did 92 Firebirds come with a door-mounted map pocket or something else mounted to the door near the bottom, or is it probably just a door panel off a car with non-power windows?

they came with cupholders on the bottom, should have a few small holes on each one

i think only cars with power windows came with cupholders. the rpo is BC8 - ORNAMENTATION, INTERIOR, DOOR MAP POCKETS.

That is a big load of crap. A thirdgen with cupholders and mine doesn't even have them...figures. So power windowed cars have cupholders, and cars with roll-up windows had a pocket?

You can still get the cup holders from GM @ $35-40 a piece. I have replaced mine twice each side. I wont let anyone ride in the car without giving them a speech about being careful with their feet.

edit: There's no way a window crank would work w/ these cupholders.

Even if a car came through with power windows i believe they changed the ornamention from the map pockets to the cupholders in 91 but i could be wrong. Ive got power windows and the map pocket ornamentation in my formula. Wish i had cupholders....

Thats funny every time someone gets in my formula they get the same speech about watch your feet dont kick the cup holder.
I'm glad that I'm not alone

Re: Question about 91-92 Firebird door panels

I just bought a set of cupholder/map pockets for my camaro, I read somewhere that theres mounting holes already in the doors behind the door panel - can anyone verify this? also what size are the screws that hold on the cup holder? thanks

Re: Question about 91-92 Firebird door panels

Actually it was availible in 90. They are handy, but fragile. Mine are new and I still worry about them.
