if you can get true ram air, then its worth it, but its more noicable at highway speeds....DUH, just stick your hand out the window when you are driving, now think of that being forced into a scope.......or ride with a friend and hold a bag open and stick it out the window, you will realize how good ram air can be

Stock, ram air hoods are ugly on thirdgen. If you want some type of cold air induction, rig up some sort of scoop below the bumper where it isnt visible. Ram air hoods are meant for 4th gens, not 3rd gens IMO.

I totally disagree with you stagefright. My 89 has been modified to the 91-92 style with the ramair II style hood and rear spoiler and I think that it looks as good as it can.I am on opposites because I think the ramair I looks like crap on these cars.Anyway, just my opinion but I personnally like the ramairII hood

I second that! Stock, with cold air from below, or RA 1, but not RA 2, unless you can get a RA 2 hood, with all 4 openings, like my Tahoe had.

Re: RAM AIR or no RAM AIR (please read and help)
Honestly, I really prefer the stock hoods on all thirdgens over most any aftermarket hoods. I had to go with an aftermarket hood to clear my Stealth Ram, so I went with the Ram Air I and a 4th Gen T/A style spoiler. I couldn't decide between the RAI and RAII but after I looked at several cars in pictures and in real life I decided the RAII was just too tall, especially for my '92 bumper/GFX style, although the RAII can look great when done right. If you don't need the clearance and your hood is in good shape stick with the stocker.

Good luck with whatever route you choose!!
