megashifter with hammer handle installed

Installed the hammer shift handle today. Night and day difference. The hammer shifter is really, really nice. Quite a bit bigger and more rounded. Excellent upgrade if you don't like the stock megashifter handle--especially if you want it to shift easier. IMO it shifts much easier, I guessing from the larger size.

The chrome handle also matches the chrome stick(instead of the regular aluminum one). I had to replace my handle because the threads were stripped out. Another advantage of the hammer handle--it has a steel thread insert. Like a heli-coil.

Jegs and summit carry them. Advanced Auto has them. I got mine from ebay.
Here are some poor pictures. They aren't suppose to shift very easy. I can honestly say the handle helped a lot.

So the handle was a direct bolt in huh? Just screwed right on? I thought the hammer shifter had a circular handle but i guess the threads are just the same! Looks good.

I really doesn't 'look' that bad, the flash makes the picture look terrible. But yes, it is dusty. It's been sitting for quite a while and we live on a dirt road. It's next on the list of things to do--I've been getting it ready for use again. Installed the new grant wheel, Jacobs ignition, Ravin muffler, rewired most everything under the dash and under the hood, rewired the stereo, installed the shifter handle, washed the K&N filter, installed a precharger. Now it's needs washed inside and out. We've got 6 inches of snow and more on the way, so that won't happen for a few days yet.
