4th gen seats into a 3rd gen

I found some 95 seats to put into my 84 for only $60, will they fit painlessly? What am I getting myself into if I buy? Thanks!

they're painful when you're putting them in and you hit your head on the roof of your car, that's about it. it's about as easy as changing a tire

I lucked out big time, wrecked 95 Camaro. The colors don't match totally but the price is right, I can get seat covers for that price. THe other junkyard wanted $100 each. I tell you junk yards a plenty down here in San Antonio!! Anyone wants some sway bars or wondeerbars I've seen a few for cheap. Pics to be posted after seat install

I pulled the seats out today, appearantly it's been sitting awhile. The back seats are fine, but the front seat rails are covered in rust. With some grease, a dremel, and rust off they should be ok. Pics to come. Like I said, I'll keep on the look out for parts. Seriously down here there are hundreds of junkyards. I already have an order for a wonderbar I'll be removing next week for a member on here.

A 97 came in while I was yanking the seats, gray and light gray striped outer trim and like red tweed material on seat and seat back, but the whole driver's side of the seat was ripped up

But I'll keep on the look out for more new seats. Pics of the install to come by wednesday.

I got my leather off Ebay, they were like $550 with shipping but worth every penny. Cloth ones go for a ton less tho. Im gonna post some pics of them in a sec, so go check em out, they rock.

You can swap out the seat rails inbetween the 3rd and 4th gen seats. I had to do that on mine since I had manual seats and the ones I got were power. The rails bolt right up with no problems.

Hey Aerohokie, glad to see a fellow thirdgen from SA. Probably bumped into you at one of the yards. Gotta love the selection in this town, it's like having Ebay in your backyard!

Since everyone helped me out or at least took the time to tell me about the direct bolt up, here's some pics. More can be seen at http://photos.yahoo.com/aerohokie2002

Stupid case-sensitivity

I know this is tech, but considering this string helped me to achieve this install I figured it was ok.
