Interior pics..if anyone cares
Put my 4th gen leather in a few weeks ago, just now getting some pics of it. Eventually ill get some 4 gen seat holsters for them..as well as either carbon fiber or brushed aluminum dash kit, white faced guages, and a couple mb Quart 12's in the hatch. Ive also go some blue neons under the seats, you can kinda see the tip of one in the pic, i wanna change them to blue but havent seen them in the store and im too lazy to order them online(that and i couldnt pretend i got the wrong ones and return the blue ones) Let me know what yall think

Dash shot, what do you all think about the fire exstinguisher? ..it was sitting in my garage and i thought it might look cool, it looks ok. If i keep it ill get it painted to match the car when i get my grill painted.

Nope dont care
:sillylol: Just kidding
Beautiful, Its a great improvement on the 3rdgen interior. Do you have any before shots? On the fire extinguisher I would probally place it somewhere else and paint it the body color. IIRC I've hear you can carry one in your vehicle by law or something. I remember reading on another message board where someone got a fine just for having one in their car. I may be wrong on that though.

HUH??? I am so confused. Are you saying that it is illegal to carry a safety device in your car? I have on in the exact same place as his and I am a cop.
On the subject, your interior looks good. Leave the fire extinguisher in place. It is easy to reach and always smart to carry on in a car. Just hope that you dont need it. You can always help out someone else, too. Just my .02 cents. Thomas

i was gonna put it horizontal under the dash but that would interfear with passenger leg room, and thats as far as i could get it on the console, its actually touching the bottom of the dash right now. Ive got a pic at home somewhere i can scan of the old seats but i dont go home often so it will take awhile to get. They are just the regular grey cloth in like new cond (guy i bought it from said they were light blue...they look light grey with a little blue tinge to them? dunno?) other than that the deck and exstinguisher are all ive done. Dashpad has a tiny crack on passenger side..and needs to be replaced but its the 2nd one ive had in there already!! damn southeast!!

I don't know if there's something solid behind the console, to support the weight of the fire extinguisher (multiplied by the G force) in case of a crash, which would amount for at least, in a moderate impact, 10G (multiply the weight of the extinguisher by 10) Just to give you an idea, FIA demands that the mounts in race cars, can withstand at least 25G's in any direction.
Wouldn't like to be a passenger either, and crash and bang my leg against it (maybe a girl would rip a stocking also? heheh)
I think it's just a heavy object that can fly into someone's head in a crash, or rebound on the dash, and bounce back to the occupants; better keep it fastened to the floor behind the seats, or the B-pillar. So even though it might look racey, no racer would do it that way.
Better safe than sorry...

everything looks great!...cept the fire extinguisher, I dont like it. Its to damn big and looks out of place like it doesnt belong there.

If you have EVER had a car fire, I'm sure you can apprieciate a fire extinguisher. Although I agree that the center consol might not be the best safety-wise, it does need to be within quick reach if you want to have any hope of putting out a fire. I've been considering where to put my extinguisher and I'm definatly gonna take another look at the driveshaft tunnel either just behind the console, or between the rear seats.

Interior looks real good.
I say keep the extinguisher. My buddy had a quick 300ZX and he was half r!ce half actual racer. One day his "new technology" "way better than old pushrod technology" engine went up in flames. Well, luckily he had the extinguisher to look cool.
May save you or someone else someday, KEEP IT! But paint it.

It could possibly break off in ana accident cause it is just screwed into plastic, but the only place it could possibly go is in the floorboard(check the pics of the location again if u dont see this) I wanted to put it in between the two backseats, but that requires cutting carpet and drilling into my car which im not too keen on, that and that has doubled as a seat many times..so mine will stay where it is if it stays. What about a carbon fiber cover for it if i get carbon fiber dash..anyone know where to get that?
