i just got a new spoiler and hood, and i need to paint them now. I painted my car, but i had my dad there to pretty much do everything for me except pull the trigger on the paint gun. Stuff like mixing, what comes first, how long to wait between stages, i need to know all that stuff.

I will be using a basecoat clearcoat type paint, and both pieces to be painted are fiberglass.

I remember seeing an online "tech article" of sorts on this board a couple months ago, but i did a search and couldn't find it. Anyone know that link?

Theres a good article in a recent Car Craft about painting on your own, not sure about the date, should be within the last month or two.

 

The April 2003 addition started the article. I didn't get the second one, I hope it's still on newstands, I haven't seen it yet. It's at least a 2 part run.
