Yea, didnt get a plate .. 3 cars involved. Making a left turn, view obsturcted by a truck. A car oncomming was speeding and clipped my rear pushing my car intot he front of a car that was exiting the street i was turning into.

Lady hit me gave the other lady false information and left before i got out of the car so no plate. I know cops and lots of lawers so all body shops locally will know about a brown corolla with red paint on the front of it. Im still racing it in 2 days dent or not ...






BTW - there is also a stress point i noticed on the passenger side not picutred hallf way across the quarter panel just under the back hatch. So im not sure what else is screwed.

but like you said chit happens...

used bumper / quarter panels and some new paint looks like it will fix all.

good luck, shouldnt be more than a few hundred if u do most of the work ur self or if u have a body / paint shop hook up.

Thanx guys .. im really not worried about my car because I'm starting to get annoyed with all the problems its been giving me lately. If it does good at the track saturday then I'll be happy. That damage is all cosmetical so none of the drivetrain was hurt.

Im just worried about the third lady that i was knocked into, shes gonna come after me probably. Sucks but its time for the waiting game. Heres a little illustration of what it looked like. I couldnt see past the truck in the suicide lane, and the brown corolla (puple box) hit me in the back right quarter. THis pushed me into the front drivers side of a white cavalier (yellow) so that is the white dents on me drivers side.

 

so looking at this illustration would it be deemed your fault for pulling in front of the lady? I know she will be in trouble cause she fled the scene....

Tim it sucks, but man you should have taken one for your car....shows how dedicated you really are. Guess I'm gona have to help ya fix it. Dont worry man

my spare tire subwoofer box is now jammed into the well ... so im gonan need to smash it to get it out. Then i can bang that fender out a bit for the time being.

BTW - I dont have a color code but when I paint it i might go a different shade of red

where i work, i need to turn against traffic of a 2 lane rode, and people always stop in that same lane where the truck is in your picture to let me go, but i never do, fearing that that same incident would happen to me, getting hit by someone approaching i couldnt see.

i remember getting hit and run, but my mom was in the car and it was an instant cell phone call to the state police and a caught license plate and we got 1500$, all it really was was a bent license plate and a scatch.

i'd do all you can to find the woman who fled, because it was your fault from that diagram. But if you find the woman who left, she'll probably get charged for the whole thing for hitting and running. Otherwise, you're screwed man.

 

Uh yeah, I adjust insurance claims for a living. You are definitley at fault given that diagram. Good luck finding the other driver. At least she will be in trouble with the law for running, but it isn't going to help your claim any. Sorry man, that sucks!

 

That blows. At least you know some body shop guys so maybe they'll do your labor reasonably. Then if you buy used parts you can probably repair it pretty cheap. I have a rear bumper cover if you need it-- it's even red!

sad to hear, it would been much better if you got hit in the front fenders instead of the rear quarters. At least they are eaisly removable unlike the quarter panels.
Unfourtantely it does seem that you are at fault, I have one rule when I cant see oncoming traffic "stay put until you can see"
I hope your able to get some cash to fix the damage.

I know it will ... never said it wasnt. I was just explaining mostly what the damage was to it, how it happened and how much it sucks ... I know it was dumb on my part but whats done is done and I can't go saying what if ....

Ive been working all day on it .... got it to look a lot better. In daytime ill take some progress pics. The main thing that annoys me is that i keep getting money saved to get my camaro work done and things keep happenin. Maybe theres a greater dorce telling me that i should not own two third gens.

Based on everything I've read in this thread, just to make me feel better, I have to say this.

The person who did a hit and run ain't a biatch because she hit, that doesn't appear to be her fault (which has been accessed earlier in this thread).

But she is a biatch for giving bogus info to one of the people at the scene and fleeing.... Yeah, that makes her a biatch.... I'm not sure who said it, but they were probably 100% right in saying she probably does not have insurance....

Best of luck with the ride. I had an at fault accident when I spun my Z28 into a telephone pole. Your quarter is but a drop in the bucket compared to what a telephone pole did to me (snapped the axel)....
