i am getting my window's tinted pretty soon and i was wondering how dark i should go? and will it look good on my lightish blue trans am? also alot of people have those decals across the top of their windshields, anybody know of any sweet looking ones i can get? and last question, my window felt on the outside of my window is all ate up and i put electrical tape on it in order to keep out the water and stuff so my door doest rust off, well is that going to hurt the tint? or do i need too get that fixed before i get the windows tinted?

Before doing tint, check the laws. The law in Illinois is no tint allowed on the sides and any tint you want on the back. So I got 5% on the back and 20% on the sides. No tickets or stops yet

 

Yes as Metallicamaro said, check your local laws.

I would also get that window felt fixed otherwise you will scratch the tint. Make sure you get someone that uses 3M tint and gives a lifetime warranty.

Also here is a picture of my tint (5% rear, 35% sides), and windshield banner. People say they don't like banners, but most people on here have said that they like it.

 

I have my automatic RS tinted with the side windows allowing 20% light through and the rear is 5% (limo) tint.

 

...and I just had my IROC's windows tinted this past weekend. It has 18% tint on the sides and front. Like joshp14 says, use a lifetime guaranteed tint and no ammonia based window cleaners on the tint.

 

i really like that decal, i might get something like that! i will probably just get the darkest you can get in my state, i think it might be 5% but im not sure, does the tint go on the outside of the windows or the inside? if i can get it on the inside then i will be ok because the interior window felts are good.
