I don't know, but I will as soon as finals are over. Doesn't look too bad. the hardest part looks to be unhooking the nose (from inside) from the sheet metal. Get a buddy, 'cause you gotta take the hood off (the hinges bolt to the fender)

is the other fender really screwed? my advice would be not to bolt on the new fender and wait for you to go get a new paint.. driving with the new one will just damage it and make it harder to prep the fender... and without proper paint it might even start to rust... rust doesn'T take long to eat sheetmetal!! beware...

You don't need to remove the hood unless you want to. Just support the front of it with a clothes prop, perhaps, and then undo the bolts holding the hinge to the fender. The hinge will then try to tip forward and inwards, where it can be pushed out of the way.
The nose cone will need pulling forwards a bit to clear the bolts there.
I also tied a rope between the door mirror and the hinge just in case-but didn't really need to.

Andy.

what about the door hinges ??? and yes ... the old fender IS SCREWED... it's pretty bad.... I was planning on replacing it the DAY OF or NIGHT BEFORE I take it in to get it painted, will that screw it up. I'm afraid I don't understand why I would damage it..

If you look at the picture, I believe he's talking about tying a line from the wing mirror to the hood hinge, to keep the hood in position. The door hinges have nothing to do with it.

you probably wouldn't damage it... but pebbles on the ground would knock on the cheap primer covering the sheet metal.. and in less than a week you would have rust on it... the same goes with dirt gather in the fender well would be a PITA to clean after... but if you have no choice.. you gotta do what you have to
