Splash shields???

Are the splash shields really needed under the front wheelwells?mine ore all kinda crooked and missing fasteners from an accident i had last year,and i just want to take them off.will it hurt anything?thanks!

It won't hurt too much. What it does is stop stones flying up and hitting the top of the fender. Also stops salt and mud going into the inner wing and causing premature rust. It would be fine for a short time but I would definitely try and find some in a reasonable condition, cheap and worthwhile doing!
