Rear Speaker/Sail panel
Okay time for a picture request. How should the inside of the sil panel look? The part that covers the speaker itself?
I am asking cause my car, 1984 Stock Firebird, has what appears to be reglued on thin sheets of cardboard. That obviously make the sound muffled! A friend said he thought his, an 85 T/A, had pastic grilles under the sail panel. So what is the RIGHT thing to have on the speaker/sail panel?
Thanks!

Hmm maybe I should cut some holes then, the one in the firebird is a solid sheet glued over an oval hole in the harder sail panal material.
The cardboard is a heavy grade cardboard that had oval or round shape holes about 1" in size. The cardboard was then covered in the material. It didn't muffle the sound. It sounds like someone did a home job on your set.
