Changed my Mega Shiffter

SO lately I've seen a lot of posts about the Mega Shifter and it's got me thinking, I'm kind of board with mine. So I decided to change after the T-handle came loose, again. I took off the T-handle and put on the billit aluminum ball handle from the quicksilver shifters. I was plesently surprised about how it feels and I like it much more. Also, it's a little different too. Here, take a look.

I dunno; I'm rather partial to the T-handle. Did you use the Loctite that B&M recommends on the handle? I didn't do that to mine at first (couldn't find the tube of loctite), and the handle kept spinning loose. Finally bought a new tube, applied it, and the handle's stayed put ever since.

Yeah, I used loctite. I even used it everytime it came loose. Oh well, like I said earlier, I like the way it feels compaired to the last 2 t-handles I've had. Give it a year and I'll be sick of this handle too.

With the Mega Shifter can you use any standard shift handle or do you have to use ones specific to the B&M shifter?

i think it looks really good! as for it being loose and what not, on my stock t handle the metal staple/clip piece that holds it in keeps popping out so i just removed it and it can now rotate 360 degrees freely! its pretty funny! and when i get out of my car i pull that handle off!! THEFT DETERRENT DEVICE!!

You could probably make the Quicksilver shifter work, but there is no console model that I know of. As far as I know there is only the MegaShifter and the Hurst Dual Gate for the consoles of the f-bodies. Unless some one else knows differently.

As asked earlier, you should be able to put any shifter knbb on a mega shifter as long as it's sized to SAE 1/2" -20, which is what all B & M shifters are threaded to.
