Install Of Triple Pillar?

HOW DID YOU RUN THE WIRES? DID YOU DRILL HOLES THROUGH THE ORIGINAL PILLAR FOR THE WIRES, OR GO BEHIND THE NEW ONE? ALSO, DID YOU GO THROUGH THE FIREWALL? I HAVE MY TACH WIRES GOING THROUGH THE PASSENGER KICK PANEL UP THROUGH THE WHEEL-WELL. I DON'T KNOW IF I SHOULD RUN THE WIRES FROM THE PILLAR ALL THE WAY TO THE PASSENGER KICK PANEL. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

I have a dual-pillar, with mechanical gauges, but here's an answer anyway-

I drilled through the firewall. If you haven't drilled yet, there might be a plug in the firewall by the brake booster that you can knock out with a hammer & punch.

The tubing and the wires for the gauge lights come up behind the dash, and go up the pillar.

I drilled through the stock a-pillar. I didn't mind since my car won't be sold (and if it is, then the new owner gets holes in the a-pillar) and I really like my triple pod.

I'm running the gauge hook-ups thru the stock pillar cover. In my case, it's the only way to go.

Oh, duh, forgot that bit of the question; yes, I also drilled a hole thru the stock a-pillar. 'Course, I have a spare in the basement from my parts car; kept it in case I messed up the gauge pod. I also screwed my pod to the a-pillar instead of using double-sided tape. One day in the sun with that tape and my gauge pod was hanging off the pillar! I painted the screws with primer, then gloss black.
