How do you install cruise cntrl lever?

How do you install cruise cntrl lever?
I just bought a cruise control lever and I need to put a new one in. How in the he** do I go about doing this? Do I need any special tools or anything?

wiggle on the old one and just pull it out of the column then install the new one
if yours has the wires attached to it tie a string to the clip at the bottom of the column before you pull them out so you have a way to get the new wires through the column otherwise you will never get them back through
