pin w/ roller in lower hinge
i finally go tthe doors off and am going to be replacing the top hinge bushings with a kit from top sown solutions that is manufactured by 3rdgensolutions. one of my friends had a new kit sitting around for the bottom hinges that included 4 bushings and 2 pins. anyway where do i find the pin that is machined into the hinge. the one witht the roller on it? and how do i replace that piece?

I don't know if its the same as most other cars, but there are actually three parts there. there is a "hinge stop" which is the long pin that goes through the hinge, then there is the roller, and there is a small pin, that goes through the roller and into the hinge stop. I know you can buy all three seperatly. I had an '02 Jimmy with a popping noise when you opened the door from a bad roller and I had to smack the hell out of it to get the little roller pin out of the hinge stop.

You may find it easier to replace the lower door hinge "body side" hinge strap. It is available as GM# 20314681 (drivers side). It comes with a new roller and new bushings already installed.
