putting a glass rear window in a vert

ok, i am going to put a glass rear window in my convertible. the top is perfect, except the plastic rear window pulled out. the previous owner used black tape to put it up there, but that is only a temp thing.

i just spent a hour or so cutting a stiff piece of cardboard and using 3" masking tape to hold it in. you CAN have a solid piece of glass there, athough it must either be slightly smaller, or fold somewhere. ive chosen to make mine a bit smaller.

tomarrow i plan to have a glass cutter make me a window in the same shape as the cardboard....

there is only one prob.

i have no idea how anyone mounts a solid piece of glass to a top.

does anyone know? im searching on google but coming up empty. i need to know exactly how they mount a glass window to a cloth top.

it would be great if i knew how the OEMs did it too... i would like this to last awhile.

any help would be great.
