Front end swap question
Ill be pickin up an 85 camaro on wensday or thursday and its a non z28 camaro and i was wondering if a z28 front end would bolt right on?
Pix for Refs.
Just in case you want to know why, its because i dont really like the look of the non Z28 front end. also plan to not just replace the front end but do the whole Z28 ground effects kit

yup it will
its pretty much a direct bolt on. the ground affects will bolt on also you just might have to drill a couple extra holes to mount them to you camaro.

Welcome to the boards :=)
The nose will bolt right up to your Sport Coupe, but the lower spoiler will need the 3 holes drilled into the bottom part of the fender to allow the sides to be bolted down. After that you can bolt on the spoiler. The rear bumper will also bolt right on. The only real mods you have to make are the holes for the door gfx,rocker panel, and rear quarter gfx. I did that to my 85 Sport coupe about a year and a half ago, best mod ever

I did the same thing on my firebird. now it looks like a T/A!! I put it off and put it off, but when my buddy and I started on it, it took all of 1.5 hours if that long, and that included bolting the rocker panel brackets up.
Just make sure you make your holes in the right spot, or your door will end up looking like swiss chesse......not that mine does
Thank goodness its my play car and not some low mileage original car. Heck it was a V6, now its getting a 406. :lala:
