well a while ago i saw someone had a 4th generation console put in there 3rd gen car and somehow they got a radio pod to fit in there as well. So i bought a 4th gen center console and today i got it and put it in. it fits well and everything but i cant fit the radio pod in for the life of me. any other suggestions? if anyone else has done this, please shed some light onto me cuz im clueless lol! well any help would be appreciated, thanks guys.

ive got a 1986 Trans Am. i already tried the brute force thing, but hey if ya got some trick to it, id love to hear it. Hope this clears up things now that i told u i have a TA.

 

What year 4th gen console do you have? There is a difference between the 93-97 consoles and the 98+ consoles.

 

Have you clipped the little tabs off of the console? They are near the front and keep the radio pod from fitting

 

i have a 94 center console and an 86 TA. No i didnt clip those tabs off. R u sure it will fit if i do that?
