Window spring

I tried replacing my window motor today. When i drilled the last rivet out of the motor, The spring let loose. LLucky to have all my limbs and fingers. My problem is how in the heck are you supposed to get the spring reloaded. Also how many turns are you supposed to reload it. Funny thing is it did'nt really scare me until I tried to load it back up and I realized how much tension was on it. I read the windows 101 after the fact, of course. LOL. Someone with my mechanical abilites does'nt need to read some directions. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would have been finished in an hour or so, if I had read the Windows 101 first.
Thanks, Randy

it depends on the window weight. try one time around. better yet, look at the pass side to see the gap between the springs and wind it up to look similar. make sure the spring is facing the right way when wound up.

good luck.
