90-92 guage cluster....

Would a 91-92 guage cluster fit in my stock 85z?...If soo what wires would be diffrent? Anybody try this if soo please help me out I would like to do this I like the style of them.

P.S. I'm not using a computer at all so don't need to worry about that!

It certainly would, as long as the rest of the dash goes with it. You can get the cluster to work but, it's hardly worth the trouble from what I've seen. Do a search in the Electronics forum for this. I forget the name but a member has swapped in just the cluster.

Regardless, the speedometer in the above mentioned cluster is electric, not cable driven such as your current. You would have to put a VSS unit in place of the current speedo cable on the transmission and, swipe a VSS buffer box along with the wiring to it from a 'bird.

Well I found out that it can be done so all I need now is to find out how to hook up my VSS.....It is from a 91 firebird dose anybody know? It dose not need to goto the ECM being I don't have one....Thanks!
