Best Interiors

Hello Everybody. I dont have my car yet. Ill be getting it around august. Im planning on getting a black 1992 Camaro RS. After i get it im going to make it look all pretty. Im going to black out the headlights and taillights. Then im going to get a Racing wing on the back, ive seen them on some camaros i like them alot. then im going to tint the windows. Then i will eventually get dual chrome tail pipes. I know what i want the outside to look like but i dont know about the interior yet. SO LETS SEE NOW. SHOW OFF YOU INTERIORS. LETS SEE WHO HAS A NICE INTERIOR. COME ON DONT BE SHY!!!

I would bail on the retarded wing idea. The stock spoiler is just fine. Every ryce rocket and Honda around has one of those. You don't need the extra weight. Don't forget that they weren't designed for our cars. Our cars were designed in a wind tunnel. They don't need anythig like that. They do more harm then good.

Of course it is your car. Or it will be. Do what ever you wish to it. But I think the wings are as tasteless as door chrome and chrome fender flares.

Please don't turn your camaro into a crappy r*ce rocket looking thing. It would be a disgrace. In my opinion blackouts look terrible as well. But hey what do I know, right? A fourth gen interior is always a nice thing to do though.

A)He's a new member
B)He's asking for pictures of interiors, not what you think/opinions about his wing choice.
Just post a picture or don't post. It's not that hard to do.

My interior is in need of sprucing up. I did however, pick up a set of 4thgen seats from a local pull-a-part yard that helped breathe a little new life into my 'still need of updating' interior next on the 'round-to list is a 4thgen console since my original one is toast...

I say stick with the blackouts, I love them. Also I'm glad to hear you wanted the high rise spoiler, I too thought you were talking about those FATF Wings.

Here's a picture of my interior in the 1987 (totalled). Don't know what I'm going to do with it yet, as the black interior panels won't fit the 91.

Those are just GTA door panels that you can pick up at a salvage yard or ebay pretty cheap and use fabric dye from pep boys to make them any color you want.

Those are some nice interiors there. For a black camaro do you think a Red interior would look nice?

Red interior on a black car looks really good IMO especially if you add some red stripes to it.

From what I understand, the console is pretty close to a direct swap in Firebirds and TAs, but for Camaros, it takes some modding to the original console to make it work. As far as the seats are concerned, direct swap. Unbolt Old, Bolt Up New.

If you go to my website (link in sig) you can see my various interior upgrades. Probably the biggest change was custom door panels without a door handle.

You are correct sir! The problem is that the radio/HVAC controls are in a seperate pod in the birds but is built into the center console on the camaros. But it has been done before, looks a little bit hacked tho.

I'll have to admit, most camaro conversions to 4th gen console lacked the skill and patience, but that is just A+ work, I've seen pics in earlier posts of it, and all around looks fantastic.

Seats with brackets: ~$800
Door panels: ~$150
Back seat cover: $60
Shaved door handle kit: $100
PSone, LCD screen, and associated cables:~$300
so about $1410, so far...
That's not including the stereo, I don't even want to think about how much that is.

The moral of the story: Beware, once you start to customize you may never stop. I don't know about everyone else here, but once I go to do one thing, I end up doing three other things at the same time. When I decided to shave the door handles, I ended up with new door panels. And since I was cutting up the inside of the door anyway, I might as well convert to power windows..... You get the idea.

I paid $550 for my seats with shipping from cali, and about the same on my stereo..need to buy a new dash pad thoso thatll be nother 200 which was gonna be spent on white face guages and a dash kit

sorry to answer someone else question but i dunno if he'll check this thread. Powermite has custom bade brushed aluminum in his car i think its just on the console, and then he put rings around his guages..the console even sais pontiac on it! Theres actually someone on ebay offering brushed aluminium dash kits for our cars for like $100 ..ive never actually seen anyone thats bought one tho, like i said i was getting one buttt im goin for my third dash pad instead!!

I've seen those aluminum dash kits on ebay too. I kind of wondered about their quality tho because last I saw they didn't post pics of it installed, just diagrams of what the pieces looked like.

Are those aluminum or stainless trim rings around the guages? Really nice :hail: , where did you get them? Have considered doing something similar with the dash and those might be just what I am looking for.

I made all the aluminium from billet.None of it are covers over the plastic,I have machined them to fit on their own.
The trim rings were quite easy but the rest took a long time and a lot of thought.
