this is my car , mine came from the factory with the zc8 rpo number which is a factory cow catcher, you could only get this package if you were a hick that lived in new york and had three tractors, this was a very rare package only 6 of them were equiped like this. It was a brush guard adapted from a truck that the factory made to fit a thirdgen. I had to draw what it looked like cause the pervious owner got into an accident and wrecked the front of the car.

no, i've not seen one for 3rd gens, but i've not looked for one either.. if your really set on getting one, i'm sure you could have a shop make or change one to fit

The General Lee is the only car I've ever seen with one.

Is someone thinking of pianting their ThirdGen orange?

Are you sure that is the factory cow catcher and not aftermarket? I thought you had to have the RPO Z71 off road package to get the cow catcher on a Trans Am. Only Camaros could have the ZC8 bumper without the Z71 package.

RichSousie: we're kidding. no one makes a push guard for a Camaro/Firebird because, well... if you need a push guard... you probably need a truck to go with it. That's why they're only made for trucks and Jeeps. And police cruisers. OK, and 69 Chargers, but that's it.

ok, i have a cow catcher on my pathfinder, i will take it off and see what kind of mods need to be done to make it fit the camaro.......

ok i tested it out, first modification necessary. take a 1/2" breaker bar with a 1 1/4" socket on it, and smack yourself upside the head with it. it may take a tries to get it just right, so you won't ever think of doing that again.

ok, i'm sorry, i know it's your car and you should do whatever you want to it, but if you do this, you WILL become the first ever member at tgo to ever get banned strictly based on how your car looks

it is an undercover police cruiser and after smasing up the front during high speed pursuits a couple of times (had to perform a pit manuver) i am getting sick of fixing it so if i put a push bar on the damage wont be as bad

Unless you are in law enforcement and need some push guards I think it is a waste of time. Your adding weight to the car and something that is really ******* and ugly. That's my $0.02.

your best bet would be to find one from the crown vic's and see how hard it would be to fit it to the camaro. the truck ones will not work because the fronts are so much taller. if i rest my grill gaurd for my pathfinder on the ground, it still sits a good amount higher than the hood of the camaro.

OK, now it makes sense. Sorry to bust on ya. Did you contact the company that supplies the push bars for the Caprices (or Crown Vics) in the rest of the fleet? They should be able to make one to fit.

It's not going to be very undercover with a push bar on it though.

note to anyone who uses there camaro on the force the stickers on the crown vics that say use overdrive during high speed pursuit. they are there for a reason i was chasing down a mitsubishi 300gt vr4 and dropped it into third because he was pulling away caught up to him about a mile later but blew the tranny. so always use overdrive during a high speed pursuit.

you can outrun an intercepter, but you can't outrun the radio

ohhh, and mr. police officer, if you could NOT click on the link to my website and NOT view my videos, that would be great

I remeber back in teh day a DPS camaro lived across the street from me, and it did not have any front end protection.....perhaps because they figured noone would try a pit with a camaro. I would just recommend keeping on the person and calling for a intercepter to do the pit so you don't have to mess up the third gen. Speaking of, how do you still have a third gen police car, i thought they were all retired in lou of the 4th gens.

All i have to say is that it would be a painful hoodslide if you had an IROC hood.

Indeed!

The Vette is strictly an imtimidation thing.

Rich, where in the hell in Berkshire County (Nevermind adams) is any police department using a thirdgen Camaro? I've sure never seen one, and I drive from Stamford to Pittsfield daily.

your probably better off smashing your front end up, least it provides some cushion.. hooking a push bar up to the flimsy frame of a 3rd gen would probably get you in worse shape
