i was reading REDRAIFS webpage last night and it sated somthing about the "headboard" being doscontinued... i can only asume that headboard is refering to headliner. i need a new one of thiese and realy hope it is not discontinued.. i am going to call the pontiac dealer tomorow and find out for sure. unless somone knows... i am kinda dreading finding out. i know GM discontinues alot of parts for our car as far as intirior goes. some discontinued parts i was looking for were going for large amounts of money due to discontinued status

 

GM might have discontinued it, but I wouldnt use a stock headliner anyway... The stock material was some kind of fiberboard crap that falls appart after a few years. Hawks and thirdgenresource (banners above) both sell repro headliners and they're ABS plastic boards covered with cloth... much better and water resistant if your t-tops happen to leak.

Probably cheaper than GM sold original headliners for too lol

Right, GM no longer makes the stock headliner (the 'cardboard' one) so if you want one of those, your best bet is a junkyard.

 

I say F**K the cardboard. Go with the reproduction ABS.

 

Just installed aftmkt ABS headliner on my car. A little fabrication, but it looks outstanding. The stock fiberboard/14yr old foam was just not doing it for me.
This headliner is an excellent product.
GM would laugh at you if you went in there looking for it.
