Is it a big deal if the plastic is cracked around the headlight pockets?
I think I finally found the right parts car for me to use to fix my car up. I needed a complete front end, hood and drivers side q-panel. this car has all of that in good shape, but the plastic by the headlight pockets looks like its sort of cracked. It has those stress lines in it. Is this just an issue with the paint, or is it the plastic that is slowly coming apart? I'm painting the whole car anyways, so if its just a problem with the plastic then its not a big deal. Is there anyways to fix it. I can get pictures if you need.
Thanks for all your help guys

Are you talking about the black plastic cover around the sides of the headlights? If so, it's not too big of a deal unless it's actually cracked all the way through. If it has a crack through it, it may come into contact with the panel or hood depending on which side it's on as it comes up. Then, wack....the motor will just keep going and rip that plastic siding right off. My suggestion would be to go to any old junkyard. Those pieces are so plentiful it's insane. All that holds them on is the four screws in the sides. Just make sure you bring a hex screw with you to get it out. Shouldn't cost you more than 5 bucks at any junkyard. Hope this helps.
