Sunroof install, will this work for an adhesive?
Over the next week I hope to install a used aftermarket sunroof (Relax, it's not in my GTA
) and I don't have any special adhesive to glue it in place. I was thinking about either using Goop or high-temp RTV (both I have lying around) if I can't find some sort of urethane adhesive. A thought just occurred to me though; I have a tube of POR-Patch lying around. The "POR-15 in a tube" stuff. It's labeled as a "filler and seam sealer, heavy duty construction adhesive". Waterproof, flexible, etc.. Do you think that this might work? At least I wouldn't need anything else to protect the cut edge from rust. The sunroof frame will never be removed anyway, which probably wouldn't be an option at all with this stuff. Any comments?
