I like it, its hard to tell in the pic but is the back seat convers wrinkled or is that part of the flame work, I'm sure the picture doesn't do it justice.
Looks really good. Musta been a lot of work going into that. What are you gonna do with your old seats?? I'd be happy to take them off your hands for you, hehe. PM me if you're planning on selling them.

Thats what I figured, now all you need like all of us something done with the center console, I am thinking about making one out of fiberglass and covering it in leather. That or a 4th gen, to match my seats. Good gob, did you make the covers or buy them?

I had them made by a local guy, who does custom work out of his garage, he doesn't advertise, but he stays busy.

A question for you, sbrice18fan: is it uncomfortable to sit on the flames? How hard are they? Or do they just kind of squish back into the seats when you lean back?

to answer a couple of questions, the total cost for everything was $1000. As for the how the seats feel, they are a little firmer, but are comfortable to sit on. I was amazed at how this guy did the seats, it was really very simple, but very time consuming. The embroidery work was done buy one of those machines that does hats, I would say everyone has an embroidery shop close to them. I came up with the design on paper, they scanned it on the computer and that is how it came out. I had to cut out the material from the headrest and take it in to get the embroidery work done, then the interior guy sewed them back in.

Sorry I couldn't resist
I love it
I love fire
I had an idea for something very similar to that, now I'm going to have to think of something else

Looks good! Your hatch setup reminds me of the stuff I have in the works for my car (amp rack, and subs). But dont worry, my stuff will look very different. Your interior looks great!

OK I'll chime in with a negative, those flames look too much like wrinkles and they are not defined enough, maybe if they were had a stich around the edges. I do like the color of the seats and carpet if thats any consolation.

At first I thought they were wrinkled too, but I looked closer and saw the flames. Only thing I dont like personally is the blue rib around the outline of the seats. Your hatch compartment looks amazing thogh!!!

Wow! Love the embroidery work! Looks great!
I recently re-upholstered my factory seats
The front and rear seats are now Blue and Silver (To match the exterior of the car) as well as custom, digitized embroidered "Z28" in Blue w/ silver outlining, and "25th Anniversary" in red on the front seats.
Took over 20 hours (Sat & Sun) for me to remove the seats from the car, remove the old upholstery (factory light grey "p"leather), install the new custom leather upholstery, hog ring, cut out holes for screws, bolts, headrest, etc, and take lots of pictures along the way.
I am doing a complete review on the seats which is why all the pics were necessary and why it took so long. After much aching hands, fingers, back, cuts.. finally got them installed and into the car.
Here are some pics of them in the car. Note: These are not the best quality. They were taken during sundown and I've yet to have been able to take good pics when it's sunny (always raining on the weekend).
The blue on the seats might look shiny but that is because of the flash on the camera reflecting. Just letting you know since people are accusing me of painting for the seats, or they are too glossy.. ;-)

Personally I am very happy with the results. Definately looking forward to going to the next bunch of car shows next year. :-)
