do u think this is 2 much?

my friend shot an idea at me (hes a import luver) anyway u no the hood of the camaro the why they go those 2 indents right in the middle. cut it out and put clear plastic to cover it, so its like a window so people could see your motor. i dont think it is a bad idea in general for some custom look. but i just think it might be to much import for r cars. has anyone done something like this? what u guys think, 2 much?

import cars now have acrylic see through hoods.

LAME in my opinion. I don't want people to know what's under the hood when it's parked or before I whoop their *** in the 1/4

it would be great for a custom look but i would have to agree i wouldnt want everyone seeing whats under the hood when its parked....didnt realize the imports got a new hood design....it would look ok but maybe try some other kind of a design or something for your hood....wouldnt wanna be like everyone else especially "them"

true, but all u would really see when u look in is the top of the air filter and your valve covers, maby your header. i'm just talking about the 2 indents.

I think it would look dumb, especially if you have a dirty stock motor.

Instead of a window, louver it. That way it's semi-seethrough and functional.

I actually thought about that once (sorry guys, lol)... never thought of glass, but I always thought that a black-painted steel screen would look pretty cool and get a little cool air blowing around.

Well, in theory it'd "be coo" and whatnot, but the application of it might look like total dog turds on a hot August sidewalk. If you had some serious polished/billet/chrome action going on and the car had a lot of show time then hey, if done well it'd be a-o-k, but then again who doesn't just pop da hood when on show?

Just wait until they add neons to the engine bay and start using clear material for more than the hood. Hondas will start looking like the Batmobile from the 3rd and 4th horrid Batman movies.

IE UBER GAY

That would be a great thing for my show car showing off my work. But I'd rather have a real cool looking hood

I agree with alot of these guys that it could be a cool idea for a show car but in my opinion nothing looks better then a sweet hood that doesnt give away what you got under it.... But i definetly think its a cool idea!

It would be diffrent. If you like the way it looks then go for it, remember it's your car. I had a friend that kept on saying "you aint gonna paint it when you get it running" I'm like no I like the paint flaking off look, makes people think I have a wore out 2.8(just got an idea ad diesel injection to exhaust to ad "burnt up" effect ) anyways though I think it'd be pretty sweet if you kept them small maybe like 6" by 12" or something.

So you wanna convert your american Muscle car to resemble a **** burner??

Well my opinion is it would look ugly if you want neons put them in the front grill or just the underbody kit is passable but I dont like em either way

I think it would be a waste of a nice hood. Go buy a civic if you want to **** out a car.
