I know someone on this board did it awhile ago. I just don't remember who. I personally don't like sun roofs at all. At least not on third gens. They look out of place. Not to mention many of them look cheap.

T-Tops look way better IMHO. But it can be done if you are really set out to do it. Be careful though aftermarket stuff like that can leak really bad if not done perfectly.

My Bird came with a sunroof when I bought it.
No leaking problems at all.
But if I had a choice,I would't put it in,it just looks better without it i.m.o.!

I got a sunroof on my 89 that the guy before me had put in. Its nice, not as nice as T tops but nice. The only think I can really say about it is, it will look funny if your car is any other color besides Black. Just think about a White car with a huge black square on the roof...prettty silly if ya ask me.

Here is a pic of mine. I had it profesionaly installed. Its garented
not to leak for life. If it does they will fix it for free. Ive had it for 3 years and no leaking yet. It only cost me about 300 bucks to have done.

You can get the T-Top car conversion done for around $1300.00 labor and around $400 per T-Top to get them new.

www.markscustomkits.com is reported to do an excellent job with the conversion.

T-Tops are great. I wouldn't buy a car without them. Mine don't leak and they don't really make any noise. If given the choice between sunroof and hardtop I'd keep the hardtop. Another idea is to go targa top. That would be cool.
