Dips in front nose

Between my hood and grill area on the front nose (on both sides of the nose emblem) is dipped or "dented" in. I'm assuming it is from heat. Has anyone ever had this problem and maybe figured out a way to reform it back to it's original shape? I really don't want to buy a new front clip! Oh yeah, it is a 1985 Z-28.

The dips you are speaking of are typical of an older Thirdgen front bumper. Yes, they are from heat, wear and tear and just age in general. Fortunately, they can be reformed and brought back to the original shape if you have a heat gun, time and patience. Heat the bumper from underneath (you may not have to remove it from the car) and push up on it in attempt to get it to form back to the desired shape. Be careful not to get it too hot or you will damage your paint. I can't promise it won't do that anyway! But its worth a try!
