I have a 1992 Z28. The left front drivers door was smashed but still opened and closed ok. The body shop quote was too high.
I located a door form a 1991 RS that was nearly the same color. I changed out all the door components into the RS door.
I installed the door and it opens and closes fine. The gaps between the door and fender are not as nice as I want them to be.
This was the first time for me doing this kind of thing and it needs refinement. What I would like is some procedures or tips on installing a door. This I would like to have from anyone here or a book I could get or a web site to visit.
