door weight?

Does anyone know off hand, the weight of a third gen. door off a firebird...?

Just want to see if its worth replacing with a light weight door for racing purposes....

I'd guess somewhere around 40-50 lbs--depending on pwr options(windows, locks, mirrors).

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula

Engine: Internal Combustion

Transmission: Completed

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.

The ones I've lugged around feel to be in the 80 lb range, with glass and motors installed.

thanks for the info on your perceived weights of the doors...

I guess it is definitely worth replacing with 10 lb racing doors....
