FOr those of you who have used POR15 before, have you always put it over bare metal or have you put it over paint before??

Just curious cuz I am about to put some on the interior floor where the drivers feet go and was curious if I didn't have to bother grinding off all the paint.

anyone tried it over paint....success???

the areas with good paint, you need to rough up well do the por15 will adhere well. I have doe it in a few spots and was fine, just make absolutely sure that the areas that are painted do not appear to have any rust underneath (nice clean metal around the area leading up to the paint area)

It will stick to roughed-up paint but it will not be as good as bare metal

Another unrelated tip- wear gloves!

I put some POR-15 on the bottom of the doors on my winter beater to stop the rust and some got on my hands and it WON'T come off
