Hi, I know there are many threads on this, but none have answered my question or found me pics that I needed.

Anyway, here is my dilema. I have the Hurst Dual Gate II shifter in my '90 RS and I will be redoing the entire intrior as soon as I get some more money. I would like to do the 4th Gen dash, but I am not sure if the console will work with the Hurst Dual Gate II. Does anyone have an answer on this?

Also, Does it look ****ty(or will it work at all) if there is a 4th gen dash with a 3rd gen console?

Pictures would be nice, but answers will suffice. Thanks.

 

Allright, someone just answer these two questions:

1. Can a 4th Gen Console work with the Hurst Dual Gate II shifter?

2. Can you have a 4th gen dash with the stock 3rd gen console?

 

You could maybe do it with a third gen firebird console. If you notice, all 4th gen dashes have a 'pod' in the middle for the radio and HVAC. On thirdgens, this pod is part of the console, not the dash. On 85-92 firebirds, however, its a separate piece altogether, so you might be able to use just the lower console with the 4th gen dash. In my opinion though, it would look tacky, and I'd just go with the 4th gen console as well. I am not sure if that shifter will work with it though.
