convertible top flip rods

are they worth it? is the installation easy?

You'll only need these IF yours are bent or broken. I coined the term "Flip Rods" to describe their function, which is to flip up or raise the #2 bow as you lower the top. It is common for these to becomre broken or bent if the top isn't lowered properly. You MUST lower the side windows slightly (1-2") before you lower the top. Otherwise the rubber gaskets that seal along the top of the window will get caught on the rear corner of the window glass as you lower the top. Continuing to try to lower the top will cause these spring-tempered rods to bend or break. A symptom of broken or bent Flip Rods is that the top will fold up short and hit the top of the rear seat backs.
Installation is easy. The instructions are pretty straight forward. Also the rods are identified for which side they belong. No need to disassemble the top to install them. I hope this helps.
