interior question?

recently sold my 4thgen seats to put in some sort of "racing" seat. what should i do about the back?

A. put seating back in there to match the front material via 3rd or 4thgen?

B. continue my custom fiberglass enclosure to cover that area displaying whatever it may be....more then likely the nitrous bottles?

I'd go with B too. If nobody ever sits in the rear then remove the seats. You can fill that area with cooler stuff. Even the bare carpet looks good, but if you are doing a fiberglass enclosure then more power to ya. I plan to do one too, but just in the trunk under the hatch (keeping rear seats). If you extended it all the way to the front seats you could have quite a nice display setup for your shows. Bottles, Batteries, Amps, all kinds of stuff. You could even do 4 12" subs with all that room.

I'd go with B if you don't use the back anyway.

Put a roll cage in the car. That will match with the race seats.

i've been contemplating a cage, however to do one that is actually useful i'd have to climb over it all the time. may throw a 3 point just for a little added use but i personally would rather not have one in the way. we'll see.

You could always do a cage with a swing out arm right?

yeah but it's still a major pita. i just don't like cages but i could warm up to a 4 point style i suppose since i don't use the rear anyhow.

Unless you are into racing, a cage is not necessary for a show/daily driver car.....I would rather see something cool/custom instead of a cage taking up the rear....

if i am remembering correctly, kandied is going to be putting out some serious power. a 4 point cage wouldnt hurt and it might look better in a show car that an 8 pt. plus if you get in an accident it the car wont crumple into that bottle of nitrous. then again in order to damaged a bottle back there you would have to drop a really big i-beam on the roof. if no one uses the back seat then why not improve some rigidity to the car?!

maybe you can mold the fiberglassing into the cage to make it look like a slick one piece rather than a separate cage and interior. just a thought.
