Friend hit 2 deer's..Deers'...Deer......um..Fender question

So i had a friend hit a deer... Two Actually... and now he needs new front fenders.. He has a 91 camaro, and i was gonna pick some fenders up at the boneyards here but they are mostly 82-90's...

what difference is there in the older fenders then the newere ones? is it just the GFX or the GFX holeS? if so what modificatiosn will i have to do to fix this?

I'm pretty sure theres no difference in the actual shape but maybe the holes are different for the ground fx. if thats the case, just some bondo and a drill to make new ones!!

I almost hit a deer last week in my dads 91 Z28, that would have sucked.

there IS a difference in the 91-92 than the 82-90, the difference is the groove from the wheel well, its hard to explain, someone else in here knows how to explain it better than me , found this out by comparing my friends 91 with my 87, and noticed the front fenders were different

the only difference is the mounting holes for the gfx AFAIK. if you do a search you will find a few threads that go into this and have pictures of the gfx mounting holes from the 85-90 and the 91-92's. you can still use either style, you just gotta drill for the correct hole location.

you are correct however it's a minor difference that nobody will notice and it doesn't interfere with swapping at all

thank you, i was just making sure evreyone knew that there was that slight difference, if i had a 91-92, i would be sure to get the 91-92 fender just because of it, i think its easily noticable, but more noticable on a white 91-92, at first we almost thought that he hd a slight creese in his fender, but it was the exact same on the other side, why did GM do that?? dont make since
