Is there an aftermarket radio pod?

I want to mount my headunit under the vents in the middle (on a camaro). Ive seen a couple pictures of this on these boards, but I cannot find them. Does anyone know how his was done, can I buy the pod and just mount it, or would I need to make my own?

I know that Metra makes one, and I think scoche makes one also. It's intended purpose is for the older muscle cars where you have the 2 **** radio's and the owner doesn't want to cut the dash, but you should have room under the vents to mount it.

I think the website is the namesake for both companies.

I couldn't find there sites, but I found this do you think that a normal headunit whatever size most aftermarket ones are would fit in there? The front looks pretty small. I guess ill call them after christmass and ask.

That dosn't look like it would fit a din sized (normal size) head unit. What are you putting in the spot the stock radio is?

Found what I need http://www.scosche.com/scosche/components/41.431.asp now I just need to find a place that sells them.

As for the hole i'm leaving from removing the radio I put in a 4th gen console and effectivly destoryed the old one removing it so i'm just going to use a piece of plastic from that to cover the hole and mount switches and guages on.
