For my 86 Firebird, which do I need to use: a 93 and up, manual, Camaro or Firebird console?

You don't want a 93-96 Camaro console either a 93-02 Friebird or 97-02 Camaro.

Try and get a 97-02 camaro or firebird one, they are identical and have the flip out drink holder, Must be a manual for to make it a bolt in.

this is a 99 SS Camaro console,

This is a 98 Trans Am console,

Why is that? Cosmedic purposes or installation purposes?

ugliness is a factor, theyre kinda flat and it has a swuare cupholder thingy, we all know firebirds have always had the better interiors . Installation i imagine is the same.

I have read on the boards that with the cassette holder it is really a pain to install and fit and cut( some one correct me if i am wrong), i prefer the 93-96 Firebird/ ta console my self i don't like the flip out cup holder or the 2 cupholders in the rear of the 97+ console.

If you have a manual car, the cup holder behind the shifter is useless since it's an ergonomic challenge to shift and have a drink in there, unless you are limp wristed .

Yeah i used to own a 93 Camaro with a manual and my GF would always put a drink in there and i would always bump it when shifting.
I plan on doing something witht eh one in my 96 console, right now i just put my cell phone there or change etc...

93-02 Firebird dashes are the same,

With the Firebird dash, you can put gauges into the vent holes,

If your removing the factory AC vents to swap in gauges the 2 5/8" Autometers fit PERFECTLY!!

Most of those wires on the floor are heater control wires, the power window and mirror wires, the fuse box with it's wires, ecm wires. Most of them are going to be spliced into the 4th gen fuse panel, the rest will be removed.
