4th Gen spoiler installation

I'm finally getting around to installing the 4th gen wing I had lying around. It's the real one off a '97 T/A. The biggest issue is that the 2 center pillars have to be extended 2 inches or so. I did a search on how to do this and couldn't find how to do it. I heard some people extended them with fiberglass but I have no clue how to do this or if it would be strong enough.
Also, i'm not sure how the 4 other bolts on the side "extensions" (for lack of a better word) that lay on the hatch glass get attached. If anyone who has done this swap could help me out I would be very grateful. Thanks in advance.

you buy the 4th gen STYLE spoiler... not a 4th gen itself.... i would also like to buy a 4th gen style one as well.. and i would just buy a 4th gen spoiler.. but i know they won't fit.. and your story prove it, lol.

sorry to hear it man, & i'm not being sarcastic or mean.. sucks, but.. spend the near 400 and get the 4th gen style spoiler if you want it.. i know i'm not going to though.. though i do want it badly.

The work to make a ramairhood.com 4thgen wing straight i(i.e. warps, waves and twists) probably more work than adapting a true 4thgen to a 3rd. Or, maybe I got the exclusively bad one from them..
PM or search for scauffiel (hope I spelled that right), he has done the swap on his T/A.

the spoilers are bad too? man, cant anyone get these hoods/spoilers right? i know it's tough to make them, but i just wonder why there are SO many problems with these fiber glass products. it seems that theres more people with bad fits then there are with good fits...why?

If I were to guess.. haste. Not enough cure time in the mold to assure minimal warpage before it popped out. I'm not a fiberglass man by any means.. I just know the basics of how it's done (through reading and a little applied theory).
To say the least.. I was pissed considering what I paid for what product I recieved. I wouldn't waste my $$ buying another.
