manual choke switch in ashtray ?

manual choke switch in ashtray ?

is it possible to put the manual choke switch in the ashtray? just wondering because i want to put it in there casue i dont smoke and it looks like a cool place to put it

Manual choke? I think my brother's 1966 Ford p/u had one of those...

I guess if you build a bracket to fit it in there, you can get it to work. Maybe not, as the cable will have to make some funky bends and it might not operate.

I'd just put an electric choke kit on it myself.

sorry, i don't mean to hijack this thread but i need a manual choke assembly (i need EVERYTHING - from inside the car to the carb) for an edelbrock 4bbl carb. carlover01, where'd you get yours?

i went to autozone and got a manual choke cable. that is like 5 feet and runs through my firewall to my edelbrock carbuerater and it hooks right in

dont you need some sort of spring on the carb? and did it come with something to grab inside the car? any part numbers? thanks

no spring, u could prolly get one with one or rig one but i dont like it or want it. the cable comes with the hand switch. that u pull for the choke if thats wut ur talking about
