'91-'92 Firebird Nose Piece question

Ok, my J-yard fresh '91 Bird has a totally thrashed nose. It's torn and all sorts, crap really. Anyways, I'm looking to find a nice used one and I'm wondering if it depends if the used one has to have come with the factory foglights or not (I do have them on the '91 by the way)?? If you can help me on this, it would be great!

WRONG. there are 2 types: ground-effects type and non-ground effects type. The Formulas and some base model Firebirds did not have ground effects. They did not have foglights either. I believe you will need the type with ground effects.

383 is right, buuut, if your feeling brave and you pick up one without the fog light holes, you can cut them out. I think MDFormula350 did that to his. But you still have the obvious problem of no gfx for the front.

Yeah, my '91 has factory G/F's on it. I assume that the g/f on the 'Bird nose cant be changed (I know you can switch out the lower lip on a Camaro). How hard would it be to cut the foglight holes? MDFormula350...help

If you still have the ground effects pieces between the nose and the front tire- you need the ground-effects-type bumper cover to make it look right. Otherwise you're going to have a gap where the GFX meets the bumper cover.

If those pieces are broken or missing (as most of them are), you can probably eliminate them and go with the non-ground effects style bumper cover. Since the 91-92 GFX come down to a point behind the front tire, it really wouldn't look that bad.

<edited to remove redundancy...>

Heh, how'd you figure that they were gone

*sighs*

Well, I guess I'll have to find the g/f nose and the g/f on the fender. Damn all the little stuff....damn you
