Cup holder mod question

Have a '89 GTA and from what I have read the holes for the cup holders are already in the door behind the door panel. After several searches I still have the question ? What to do with the holes from the removal of the little triangular pocket thingy mounted from the factory on the lower front edge of door ?

thx

Bill E.

I don't know. My Camaro didn't have those pockets. Hopefully they are hidden behind the cup holders with integramap pockets. I can tell you that the holes are there on your 1989 car. They are square. You'll need those white plastic inserts that press into them to hold a screw. They are commonly used to mount license plates and can be foune in the HELP section of most auto stores.

Go to a car interior shop, show them what you want to do.

Dave,

You may be right, my door panels are curved as it gets near the door handle, maybe they won't fit, maybe what I saw was someone putting them on a '89 camaro.

Someone please verify, will 90-92 door cupholders fit on '89 GTA ?
Thx......Bill E.
