If you have the equipment, or a friend that does, it will cost about 50 bucks. If not your looking at around $150-500 to get it done. Sucks but some love to charge you for prep even though you did it yourself. Call around and Good luck.

What about the back bumper?
Cost me $200 to have mine prepped and painted. Took about two days, and they even blended the new paint with the fenders.

Is it a new hood or your stock old hood, depends on how much prep has tpo be done, what color it is, and if the owner is having a good day, i know this, i work at a body shop, but it shouldnt run you no more then 300 350 at most for a real nice job...

here's my 2cents. I bought a ASCD SS hood for my RED 91 1LE. After I did all my custom work I sanded the top surface down with 600 grit wet. I had quotes ranging from 500 to 900 dollars. The higher quotes were where the shop would sand/paing the tops of my fenders to blend the color. SO, I gave my buddy a call and bought single stage red acrylic enamel paint from NAPA for a 150 dollar total. We shot the hood after cleaning and BLAMO...about 150-200 fisheye. The worst I've ever seen. I dont know where or what but now I've had to sand off 90% of half a quart of paint on my hood so I can spend another 250 bux for PPG two stage paint. Morale of my story, don't paint yourself unless you have a clue what you're doing (no I didn't have one and am paying for it.) Oh yeah, not only do I have to buy the new paint, but pay a guy I work with 300 bux to proffessionally paint it now

If you go to an "econobake" or maaco type shop you'll probably get a good deal. I'm getting my new hood painted for 75 next week, but it's only for the top of the hood, not underneath. B4 anyone shreaks, it's only temporary since I'm redoing the whole car in the near future.....
