Racing seats would be cool, but to use the 5 point harness you would probably have to have a roll cage to attach the belts to. Ive never seen it done another way. Trans am leather seats are really cool. But if you like to stay chevy, there were some perfect white 30th anniversary camaro seats on ebay for $385 a couple days ago.

I really like how my 4th gen seats sit. If you can find a good set for under 500 then I say go for it, The good thing is the back seat fits, its slightly smaller but it looks good. The grey is different than the 3ed gen grey, so if all you want is the seats I would go for black, the only reason I bough the grey was I got the set of leather seats for 150 bucks. I also knoticed there is more space between the front seats and the console now but that will be fixed with the 4th gen console install.
If you go with raceing seats you will have to get the rear seats redone to match. If you want a 5pt belt then you will need a roll cage. If you don't attach the belt at sholder level, you will break you back in a wreck. For it to be sholder level you need a roll cage.
If you do racing seats you will want a good set that will tilt forward.

I got my 4th gen seats from a junker for $75 for full set. The passenger side has a very tiny rip. I put seat covers on the seats anyway just to protect. They had dog hair on them. So lets say another $50 in seat covers and cleaners.
$125 I got full set of 4th gen seats, Drivers seat is fully loaded. I'd say go for the 4th gen and use the $300+ left over to buy some other misc stuff

Im going with racing seats myself, I like fourth gen seats, but man, I can't find any nice leather ones for under 600. I love the trans am leather but those are even more when I look on ebay, especially for the ebony black. I went with a fourthgen leather rear seats though. Anyways, these are the racing seats I got, they look damn nice minus the little dumb spider at the top. THat is coming off before I put them in the camaro.

Considering other brands go 600+ for ONE leather racing seat without shipping.....no they werent.
Not to mention thier brand new and won't have faded leather or rips like they would if I were to buy fourth gen seats, not to say you can't find them in that condition, but you'll definatley be paying out of the butt.

400 is nothing for a seat, especially 2. i think it all depends on money...
i just replaced my 4thgen seats for some corbeaus because i wanted more support. if you don't care about looks 4thgen ta seats of any year are better then any camaro seat. however 98+ are the best camaro seats for looks and the 95 i believe have the best bolsters for support.
go with something like corbeau and your paying 900 a seat in leather plus 70 a bracket to mount and 150 a piece for a harness..

The most comfortable 4th gen seats are the 96 and earlier Camaro leather seats like these ones I had,

The best gripping is the Trans Am seats like these ones I had with the power side bolsters,

those are good examples of what i was talking about...not as supportive as some higher priced race seats but obviously you get what you pay for in most cases. i loved my 98+ style and for the price you couldn't beat them. but in all honesty they definately lacked any real support through turns and the "***" area wasn't the best for extended cruises.

Corbeau seats are really nice as well, and not to expensive.
They hold you in place very well, but the only thing I don't like about them is that the seat rails raise the seat up about 1-2inches, don't know the exact hight but it is very noticable.

Corbeau Seats
I am 6 feet tall, and I race with a helmet. I want Corbeau seats. What brackets did you use? On the plus side, I have T-tops and can race without them in place. However, I do want to drive without hitting my head on the top when the T-top is installed.
Will Corbeau seats work for me or do I need to get "shorter".
Thanks,
Scott

A question for zepher and kandied91z: How much did you pay for those seats? Both the Camaro and TA leather seats, and also the seats in your car kandied. All 3 sets definitely look hot in those cars, I'm not a big fan of how those Corbeau's look, but if they are more comfy, than maybe they would work as well.

these are my corbeau seats...the light makes it look funny but it's the best way to show visual perception of their design. if your worried about costs stick to cloth material. as far as the seats they are fine, however i had to seriously modify the corbeau brackets to work. they are a taller seat in general though in the "tail" area so you sit higher. with the way my seats are i can't really fit much under the seats so if that's an issue i'd definately go with a different make. just be sure to check out the dimensions of the bottoms.
