Removing front pass fender, need help.
Removing front pass fender, need help.
ok I got everything off (I think) except for what attaches to the front bumber. Is there a way to take off the fender without removing the front bumper?. From what I can see there are 4 bolts that connect the front fender to the bumper. I snapped the 2 bottom ones already trying to get them off (Damn corrosion). I can't reach the top one unless I pull off some major contortionist tricks. and the other one moves but doesn't seem to be doing anything. After I did all this I realized that I probably should of taken the front end off.
So am I a complete dumbass or can I be saved?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can use about 2 feet worth of extensions and go in through the wheel well to get the top two nuts. The studs they go onto are fixed to a plate in the front cover.
There's also a small L shaped bracket about midway up on the front of the fender...it attaches to the front part of the body.

You say the second one down is just spinning? That could be trouble...you may have to get a nut-splitter up there to remove the nut. Or carefully hacksaw the stud, going in between the fender and bumper cover.
Yeah I was using extensions, but I still can't reach the top one, the top of the fender gets in the way for me to line it up right.
but I'll try to contortionist crap if you saying I don't have to take off the front cover

Gotta make a correction to the first post. The two upper nuts go onto studs which screw into the fiberglass headlight bar. That's probably stripped the 'threads' out of the 'glass. There's a 'ring' around the stud which fits between the 'glass and the cover. From the inside, you may have to cut a section of the cover out to let the stud pull out. I'll try to get a pic or two tomorrow to show you what I mean...

for the top nut use a 10mm deep socket with a swivle(sp) between the socket and the extensions. that should work.
