can i put a 145 speedo in .. .in place of the crappy 110 speedo? why did gm even do that ... they make a performace car with a dam economy car speedo... wow sumones smart... yea i really need to change this... let me no wuts up guys... i searched for this and NOONE had a straight answer for me... I'm sure it'll just be a direct swap if the gauge cluster is in the same configuration. This is gonna sound bad but with mine I want to switch my 85mph to a 140mph and I know it'll be a direct swap.

 

yea well i was GONNA get the 145 speedo from the 85 z28 but the a$$hole block my bids? how gay is that... anyone out there that wants to sell me a 145 speedo? any one that has done this swap let me no... id appreciate it.. thanx duders

 

good thing he blocked you or else you would be screwed. you have a 91 rs right? if so then you have an electronic driven speedo, so the 85 one would not have worked without adjustments. You need to find a 145 from a 91-92 Z-28.

Shoulda come to me first.

I put a new 145MPH electronic speedo cluster into my '90 RS with 305 TBI. I just bought a 145MPH 90-92 Speedo form E-bay, easy to tell, no other speedometer cluster looks like it., and just bolted it where the other one was. I also bought a new guage lens cover so it would look brand new, and cleaned off the new one when I got it. Too bad I will eventually be selling it, going to do a 4th gen interior swap.

 

yea i cant find any one selling a 145 speedo... any one no where i can get one?

 

Check the classifieds on this website's home page. If you can't find one here or on ebay, you'll just have to make the rounds at the local boneyards.

 

I'll sell ya mine as soon as I get the 4th gen interior ready to go in... but that is gonna be a long while.
